Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") set forth the conditions for using the BP Time smartphone application ("the App") provided by the BP Time Operations Office ("we," "us," or "our").

Users ("you" or "Users") agree to these Terms before using the App.

Article 1 (Purpose)

The App is intended to help you record and manage daily measurements such as blood pressure and pulse to support your personal health management. Through input, history views, and graphs, the App helps you understand trends in your condition.

Information and features provided by the App do not constitute medical practice and are offered solely as an aid to personal health management. If you require diagnosis or treatment, consult a physician or other qualified professional.

Article 2 (Conditions of Use)

  1. The App can be used free of charge without user registration or login. You are responsible for preparing and maintaining any smartphones, communication lines, and other equipment or environments necessary to use the App.
  2. If you are a minor, you must obtain consent from a parent or other legal guardian before using the App. If a minor uses the App, we deem such use to have been consented to by their legal guardian.
  3. The App provides integration with the Apple Health app only when you enable this feature in the settings screen. If you disable it, this feature will not function.
  4. Scope of the Apple Health app integration: Within the scope of permissions you grant through iOS permission screens, the App reads and writes health data including blood pressure (systolic/diastolic) and pulse. You can grant, change, or revoke permissions at any time through device settings and the Apple Health app settings.
  5. Accuracy and responsibility: We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of data obtained from or integrated with the Apple Health app. We are not responsible for any damages arising from the use of this feature, except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
  6. Service changes and interruptions: Integration features may be partially or fully unavailable due to Apple specification changes, service interruptions, communication failures, etc. We are not responsible for such issues or interruptions unless caused by our own fault.
  7. Privacy: Our handling of user data is subject to our separately defined Privacy Policy.

Article 3 (Prohibited Acts)

When using the App, you must not engage in any of the following:

  1. Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
  2. Acts related to criminal activity
  3. Infringement of our or third parties' intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
  4. Unauthorized analysis, modification, or reverse engineering of the App's source code
  5. Unauthorized access to, or interference with, the App or related servers/networks
  6. Improper commercial use of the App
  7. Use of the App by or for the benefit of anti-social forces, or providing benefits to such entities
  8. Any other acts that we deem inappropriate

Article 4 (Disclaimer)

We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, usefulness, safety, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee error-free operation, uninterrupted service, or that stored records will always be accurate.

You use any information obtained through the App at your own judgment and responsibility. We shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use or inability to use the App, except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence. In particular, the App's features and information do not substitute for medical advice, and we are not responsible for outcomes based on reliance on such information. For important health decisions, follow the advice of medical professionals.

Please manage data obtained and stored in the App with due care. We are not responsible for data loss or leaks caused by device failure, user error, or issues with external services such as the Apple Health app.

We do not control the content of third-party advertisements or linked pages displayed in the App and bear no responsibility for any damages arising from them.

Article 5 (User Responsibilities)

You use the App at your own responsibility. Enter your blood pressure, pulse, and other data accurately, and configure data storage and permissions (the Apple Health app integration) at your own discretion.

You are responsible for managing your health and responding to abnormalities. You are also responsible for the results of actions based on information obtained through the App. If your actions cause damage to others, you are responsible for resolving the matter at your own cost and responsibility.

You are also responsible for device security (e.g., applying OS/App updates, enabling screen lock) and ensuring a secure network environment.

Article 6 (Changes to the Terms)

We may modify these Terms as needed. If we do so, we will notify you in advance of the updated content and effective date via in-App notices or similar means. If you continue using the App after the changes take effect, you are deemed to have agreed to the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may discontinue use of the App.

Article 7 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising in connection with the App or these Terms shall be submitted to the district court or summary court having jurisdiction over our location as the exclusive agreed court of first instance, depending on the monetary amount in dispute.
